We live in a physical world and as we grow we learn to operate within in it. For instance, we learn to walk and to use our senses to control our movements and physical coordination. This aspect of life becomes second nature to us. If we trip over something we no longer have to think about what to do but we automatically try to recover our balance. If we touch something hot, we recoil. If we hear something loud, it gives us a start... you get the picture. The world, however is made up of much more than the "physical" or visible. In the Creed we state that God made all things, "visible and invisible". Yet most of us don't give the invisible a second thought.
The Holy Bible speaks of the invisible world and actually teaches how to live in this invisible realm. It warns us of the the enemies as well as allies whose realm it is. It informs us that this world of the unseen is our ultimate destiny and that many facets of it are all around us.
So how do we avoid the pitfalls?
